Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a hot topic among child care providers. Those who recognize the importance of gaining the knowledge to best serve young children diagnosed with ADHD will find this class valuable. This class provides both basic and advanced information on ADHD in young children. Topics covered include how to recognize the symptoms of ADHD in young children, how to respond to ADHD in the child care setting, and how to work with parents of children who exhibit behaviors consistent with ADHD criteria. This is a level 1 to 4 basic class.
